The fjord/sea fishing is free in Norway, but everybody has to follow the regulations of sea angling.

Freshwater fishing rules in Norway:
You need a fishing license (day pass) to go freshwater fishing in Norway. You can purchase your day pass (50 NOK) via inatur.no.
HOW TO BUY A DAY PASS:
1) Click on one of the zones:
2 ) Select "Dagkort" (or "Døgnkort") 2025 and choose the desired date.
3) Click on "Kjøp" and fill out the form.
